1998 Chevy Monte Carlo will not true over

When u get in the car and put the key in all my lights come on but it will not start, it does nothing, does it have to do with the clip in the key or something else?

When you turn the key to start the car do you hear anything comming from the starter? If you hear a click then the proble would be in the starter. Check the wires from the battery to the starter. If the cables ar ok. Then have the starter and soloind checked.
