Engine problem
1995 Chevy Monte Carlo V6 Front Wheel Drive Automatic 182000 miles

when I start my car I have to hit the gas all the way down to keep the engine running. Then the car idles like it wants to die out, and then dies. I have to restart it and do the same procedures until the engine seems to catch to idle. Immediately in the morning when I start it, it automatically dies numerouse times. When i'm driving after I sart it the idle remains extremely low, and then dies while i'm moving at slow speeds. I need it fixed, but what is this problem. The engine shakes extremely bad sometimes to. Can someone tell me what this is, and just about how much I will have to pay in order to get the engine actually normal when I bring it in for repaire? Thanks so much!

Check engine light is it On or has flashed?

When was it last tuned-up?

Try getting the coolant temperature and idle air control valve check for start.

To me it sounds like the IAC valve is bad, but we should run the codes to see if any are stored, here is a guide to help.

Here is the location of the idle air control valve so you can swap it out if any codes come up for it. Check out the images (below). Let us know how it goes
