2006 Chevy Malibu the engin turns off while driving

I have a chevrolet malibu 2006, the last two days the engine turns off while driving, it hapens alternatly evry few hundred meters, do you have any idea what can cause the problem?

Does MIL check engine light come on? Start right up?

Read post (1997 Chevy Malibu CAR DIES ) on page 2 of Chevy Malibu questions and answers. The Crankshaft Position Sensor will shut down the engine without any warning or trouble codes and the engine will restart after a short time and drive as if there wasn't a problem.
