I drove into too deep of rainwater the other day. My car stalled and would not start. Someone pushed me back to my house and it will not start. At first it would just click. Now, a week later, it will almost turn over but sounds like it is not firing. What do you think?

How deep was the water? Was it deep enough for water to enter the air box? Have you removed the spark plugs to make sure there is no water in the cylenders? Has water mixed with the engine oil? Is the starter working correctly?

Let me know.

The mechanic said my compression is at 70%. He asked if I want to fix it but he advised me to buy a new car. Water was in the engine he said. Water never got into the car.
