I have a 1998 Chevy Lumina, and I have replaced the battery within the last six months, and the alternator in the past six weeks. Recently, the car has had difficulty starting. We had a cold spell, and I had to jump it on two different occasions, and it took a jump. However, I tried to start it today, and it won't turn over. The lights come on, the radio will come on, but the car won't start. I was wondering if it might be the spark plugs, or possibly the starter, or maybe a bad ignition switch. Can you help?

If your saying the starter won't crank, make sure the battery has a full charge and the battery cables/wires are all clean and tight.

Another thought is the theft system. Do you think the theft system might be causing a problem?

If the temperatures have been extreme, you may have more than one problem?
