I have a 98 Lumina with 135000 Miles. Yesterday while leaving my complex I notice smoke comming from the back of the car when I hit that gas. It will stay for about 10 sec then I will no longer see it. Also that same day my car hesitated to start. After the third try it started however the doors will no longer lock when button is press. It have to be done manuely.

The smoke can be from worn valve seals or anyother type of gasket breakdown like a intake leak. Check the fuse for the door locks or the relays if there are any. They may be in the underhood fuse box. Also check under the seat.
