I have a problem with dirty coolant in the reservoir. It doesn't seem to be hindering the cars operations and it isn't overheating. But I am wondering if this is something I should have a mechanic look at or if it is alright? I believe it has been dirty like this for about a months time and I have not experienced any problems so far. What should I do?

Hi:

If the coolant is dirty in the overflow, chances are it's dirty in the engine too. I would recommend that you have it serviced (flushed and refill the system). Make sure the correct coolant is used. (Never mix GM's dexcool with regular green coolant).
