1991 Chevy Lumina 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 130k miles

The engine cuts off after 5 mins. Of running after taking on what may have been bad fuel. I have seen traces of water in the fuel at the fuel rail. I replaced the fuel filter and did a pressure test at the test port on the rail. The pressure is holding steady at 40 psi and even when the engine cuts off the pressure does not fluctuate or drop off. The pressure will begin to drop after about ten minutes, very slowly.
Once the engine cuts off it will not start until it sits for several hours and at that point it will restart and run perfectly for about 5 mins, then it will cut off again as if it ran out of gas. I am not getting any check engine lights and everything seems completely normal. This vehicle has been well taken care of. And is clean and mechanically funtional. I need some guidence. I have always done my own repairs for the past 35 years even engine and other power train component replacements and rebuilding. I will definately make a donation, I hope you can help. Thanks, John

Replace your crank shaft sensor. It costs about $20 and is located between the trans and engine directly behind engine on the firewall side. You have to replace it from underneath. Its held in by 1 eight mm bolt.
