Cruise control not working

I also was having internment problems with the blower motor not working and when I would turn the speed dial to setting 4 the cruise light would come on. I took a chance and replaced the ignition switch (not the lock cylinder) cost $70.00 at O'Reilly's auto here where I live. Took forty five minutes to swap. Had no effect on key programming for me. All is working correctly now for me. Just my outcome. I use these forums all the time and have been trying to add in what fixes worked for me to the forum.

My cruise control has not work for a year and when I was coasting down a hill my speedometer started to fall until I hit the gas pedal and it straighten back up. Would the speedometre sensor cause this and where would it be located. Would it be in the same place even for the super sport model.

Have scan it as auto parts can't scan for anything other than engine or trans codes.

Randomly at no warning, my cruise control and ac/heater will not work. They both go out at the same time. When one is not working, the other is not working. So, when ac/heater is working, then the cruise control is working. Also, I can see the lights on the ac/heater go dim when it is not working. I'm not sure what that could be. Also, my heat does not get hot at all. It may get luke warm at best if it does manage to even turn on.

Hi
This is a strange one but lets see what we can do.
O.K. Things in common both work off same fuse and are controled inpart by PCM. Check fuse to see if it fits tight into terminal. Has a light on dash or A/C controler come on. Also is this dual climate control?
Let me know
Thanks for donate

Dual Climate control? I dont think so. Fuses are tight. No lights in my dash have lit up. The Light on the A/C / Heat is almost always on regardless of it working or not. When It is working, it is much brighter. Sometimes there is no light at all, but that is somewhat a rare occurrence. Also, I can't cut my lights off at all. In other words, my headlights and rear lights are at full blast day or night in the off position.

Headlights was a good clue all these components share a common ground. Check ground on left side dash on the left side of brake pedal bracket.

When You say check the ground, do you mean a special bracket or do you mean a a few wires attached to a screw that is attached to the car's body? And it figures that the lights, cruise and ac/heat are working the away they are supposed to now. Its intermittent.

Yes wires attached to brake pedal bracket. The ground in a car is the body if it gets high resistence all types of weird stuff can happen. Make sure all connections are clean and tight.

No you shouldn't unless the connector Is damaged. In that case I'm not sure who handles that other than a dealer. Have you check relay under hood as well as fuses for cruise they should be marked for location under fuse box top. Other than that I have no further suggestions without actually seeing this myself.

It may be that the harness was stretched when you installed the vss as this is the input speed sensor for turbine. It is inside trans. Also if no vss signal makes it come on as well. So go to an auto parts and see if they will erase the code and then drive it and if it comes back on have amechanic look at it. That sensor could be bad or it's a connection problem. It is inside the trans and it may be apoor connection for large plug at trans as well.
