I am working on a 2001 Chevy Impala. There is a metal By-pass hose that goes from the Intake manifold to the Tensioner belt pully Assy. My question is how do you remove the by-pass hose do I have to remove the whole assy or is it just held in by O-rings. Is there an aftermarket hose or do I have to go to Chevy Dealer to buy the part.

Thank You

Hi:
I'm not sure I understand. There is a steel hose that is at the intake, but nothing like that runs to the tensionier. Regardless, the one I think you mean is removed as a unit and is available at the dealer only. No aftermarket part has been made to replace it.
