Ok, good. Does it cut off when put in gear only, or when put in gear and attempting to accelerate. Has this car been sitting for a while, or do you drive it daily?
First thought if it stalls when putting in gear is that the tourqe convertor may be the issue. If it's when you go to accel, it could be a carb. Issue.

When I put it in gear the car idle down then it cut off

Sounds like the carb is dirty, possible tarnishing on the primary jets.

Have you been driving it for a while or has it been sitting for a while?
