91 Corvette idling temp

Recently purchased a 91 vette and while idling the temp
starts rising quckly is this normal

Look at the cooling fan in front of the radiator to see if comes on when it hot. (Electric fan)

Well I have got a better understanding now from what I have found out the default sensor does not kick the fan on till 230 so im just ordering a lower temp sensor
but until then a friend had suggested kicking on the air
for the car and that makes the fan work below 230
and thx for the reply
