Our vette is in semi-heated storage from November thru April. Is it necessary to start the engine every 2 to 3 weeks, or can the engine remain unstarted for 4 to 5 months without damaging it? Mobil-1 synthetic oil is in the engine. We have a "battery tender" trickle charger on it.

I would really recommend starting it at minimum, once every 6 weeks. Allow it to run to normal operating temp also. This will help to reduce carbon deposits.

Yep, allow the engine to heat up to remove moisture. What you did with the battery tender is the best method BTW. It might be good to put it up on block so the tires do not get damaged.
