Engine Performance problem
1993 Chevy Corsica 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

I was driving the car and it ran fine for like a yr and 1/2 now about 2 weeks ago I took it out and it ran fine then I went to leave and when I started the car it did not want to run almost like it not getting gas or something when it have 1/2 tank. Then it stalls out and wont start so I call someone to come and get me and when he get there to look at the car it starts and runs fine so now I look crazy. It runs fine for like 2 weeks and again it was going like it was not getting fuel I pump gas and after car warms up good it runs fine I tell my friend that it is doing this again and ask him to follow me with his car just in case and of course it works fine no one beleives me well now today it did it but this time it would not even stay running when I pumped the gas it died out, when I tried to restart it it turned over for a second and then died and now will not start at all (i am sure later when my dad gets to where I left the car it will work just fine and he'll think im nuts too) any suggestions other than get a new car?

Sounds like a bad crankshaft position sensor that is failing when hot and when it cools it works again(very common)

When it won't start, listen for the fuel pump when you first turn on the key. It should run for a few seconds before the engine starts. Also listen for growling noise when it is running. If the pump is noisy, it may be failing intermittently. (Happened to a friend).
