Hi. Iwas reading a note, about a 1991 Chevy cavalier, that will stall when it comes to stop.
Well ! I
have the same car (YEAR, MODELETC)
same problem! And your answer was to disconnect the tcc solenoid. But the way I went to an auto parts, to ask about it, and I was told the real name is ACCELERATOR SENSOR.
my question is ; are this two are the same?
Also I disconnect the 2 cables (not 4) and the car started to run very smooth,
How will this will affect the performance of the car?
and how do I replace the sensor? Do I need to take my car to a transmission shopp, electric or to the dealership?
THANKS. RICHARD :)

TCC solenoid is the correct name, I have never heard of an accelerator sensor. If the torque converter stays locked up it will pull the engine down too hard when at idle causing it to stall
