Bat. Light on dash intermiten

2002 cavilier 2.2 new bat new alt the bat light coms on and off randomly. The dealer said it is a diode in alt but after checking the alt it is good new bat is good also what else should I check out? Miledge is aprox.100,000 also has new belt.

Was the alt, A new one or Remanfactured one? I would also check youre battery cables, Also with youre car idling, I would run a digital meter tester to see if the charging current is functioning, I would be bet there is a problem with the electronics hardware inside the alt.
