'98 Cavalier Computer

My '98 Chevy Cavalier, 2.2L engine, ~60,000miles had the computer replaced by the local Chevy dealership. Since the replacement I get check engine light with code "1336" reading out on my OBDII Creader. Also, the dome light over the passenger section does not go out now.

The "1336" indicates cam position sensor variance not learned (or something like that).

Is there an initialization of a new computer that needs to be done on installation that might not have been done completely? The replacement was not cheap and the eyes of the Chevy Service Mgr look like $V$ when I come in. Would like to have more info than generally available before I get serviced.

Can you help?

Thanks, Dan B.

Some one forgot a step after replacing that ECM
few step procedure to replace ECM
one of them is learning the crank and cam sensor
You should check with the dealer that install the ECM let them know about what’s going on and it should be free of charge since they did the job and was not complete
