Been working on my buddys car. He pulled out of a driveway and got to 20 mph and it died. Wont start. Got it towed to my shop where I began checking. So far have replaced 2 coils and wires. Getting good spark. Fuel pump was replaced about 2 months ago. Seems to be getting fuel but unknown pressure. I plan on checking the fuel pressure tomorrow to see if maybe its a junk fuel pump. But when I put it on the code reader it pulled a code 43? Electronic spark control failure? Had ignition control module checked and it checked out fine. Any other ideas?

Below this will knock out your problem if its coming from the ignition system

Here is a little trick that will literally show you if a DIS module and its crankshaft sensor circuit are working: connect a halogen headlamp to the spade terminals that mate the DIS module to the coils. A headlamp is recommended here because it puts more of a load on the module than a test lamp. If the headlamp flashes when the engine is cranked, the DIS module and crankshaft position sensor circuit are functioning. Therefore, the problem is in the coils

Hope this helps-Good Luck
