I replaced the battery and starter because both tested bad but with the new ones in you can here the starter ingage but not crank the engine. I don't know what else to try. Any ideas?

Please explain more clearly. Is the starter just grinding and not cranking the engine. Cranking and starting are 2 different things.

You can hear the gear pop out in the starter but that is it. It doesn't grind or do anything else.

I replaced the starter already and even had the new one retested to make sure it was good.

Check all your connections going to it. If they are good and the starter is still triggering in some way, that only leaves the starter.
