Here's what happened:

I was on my way home from work and as I was about to pull on the highway my car suddenly just went dead. No warning at all not even a sputter just died on me. I tried to crank it back up and it cranked but wouldn't turn over. So thinking it was the battery I call for a jump. When they get there we try to jump it but still no go. Then I notice that when I turn the key my electrical stuff is still working(radio, lights, wipers, etc.) So in the end I get it towed home and after looking it over I'm convinced it may be the fuel pump. How can I be sure?

Welcome to the forum, I'd have to make sure the battery has a full charge and the connections are good. Engine cranking, do you have spark at the plugs? Use a gage and check fuel pressure. How long since you changed the fuel filter? When you first turn the key on, no crank, can you hear the pump run? Check for voltage and ground at the pump connector.

I'm not sure how to describe it, like a small motor running? Have a helper turn key on, no crank, while you listen by the gas cap or tank.

I didn't hear anything when me and my nephew tried it. Hopefully the fuel pump is the problem we'll find out tomorrow when its towed to the shop. Thanx!
