1997 Chevy Cavalier when driving engine coolant tep drops

I just changed the thermostat and water pump when driving 45 mph or less it warms up to normal operating temp when I go 55mph or faster the coolant temp starts droping to luke warn and I get no heat in car It worked fine before the repairs

Hi:
It sounds like you got a bad t-stat and it's not closing as the temp drops. I would start by trying a new one.

THat is really the only thing that can contribute to this problem. Are you sure it was replaced pointing in the right direction?

I put an USA MADE THERMOSTAT IN AND IT WORKS FINE NOW. THANK YOU
