1997 Chevy Cavalier 2 motor mounts

Coolant hose work, mechanic states engine vibration, wants to repl;ace both motor mounts.

only occaisional acceleration thud, do not notice
vibration except for some steering wheel (subltle)

when should I have this repaired, any urgency?

Hello -

Did you look at the mounts to see if they were split or worn? You might have him show you.

You probably have a little time... Just remember quick acceleration etc puts a lot of stress on the mounts....... The mounts keeps the engine in line with everything. I would start putting a little away to have them replaced sometime soon..... Not earth shattering but sometime soon.

So no not any urgency..... But I wouldn't wait forever either.......

A vibration in the steering wheel usually means front end.....
