1997 Chevy Cavalier 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

car died when driving go a code p0342 I replaced the cam sensor still will not. On the scanner the timing shows 5.5 deg. And before when it was runing the timing was 15 deg. At idal. I have new fuel pump and iam getting gas and I am getting spark please help me.

Will the engine start at all? Also, the code, P0342
Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Low Input, have you checkded for damaged wiring or bad connections? Finally, the timing issue, is that 5 degrees BTDC.

It should start with that setting. Double check the cam sensor to make sure it is seated properly.

Follow the cam sensor to the PCM and check voltage output.
