I replaced the coils plugs wires fuel pump and filter I have had many people look at it no one seems to know why
it is reading trouble code 42 ( fuel cutoff relay) what does this mean can u help it would be greatly appreciated thank you

Is this the 3.1L?

Code 42 relates to the electronic spark timing circuit open or grounded-you sure about this code.

Fuel cut off relay-there's no such thing-you sure you're not talking about the fuel pump relay.

Did you check the fuel pressure and what was the readings when you install the new fuel pump?

Yes it is a 3.1 multi-port FI yes I am sure it is code 42 it only says fuel cut off in the book not online.

I looked and looked and I could not find anything for a cut off relay. I did however unhook the fuel pump relay and there was no difference. Would it make a difference?
It is also reading code 30 (Idle speed control actuator) can you tell me what this is.
I do not know how to check fuel pressure any tips would be appreciated thank you.

If the fuel pum/oil pressure sending unit is bad and you remove the fuel pump relay it will stall.

The fuel cut off could be a misprint in the book-Ford product uses this device to shut fuel off in the event of an accident-

Check the fuel pressure-hook up a pressure gauge somewhere within the fuel rail you'll find the pressure test port.

The idle air control valve is on the throttle body take it out and clean it with carb cleaner-
