I installed a new dual exhaust system in a 1991 Chevrolet Caprice. Before the installation I had cats now after installing the new exhaust without the cats it has a smell. The smell on my clothes smell like I have been pushing a gas powered snowblower but not as heavy. How do I stop the smell from my exhaust? Should I reinstall the cats?

The converters give a more complete burn of the fuel, you are smelling unburned fuel. Only way to solve it is to put the convertrs back on.
