I have an intermittant starting problem with my car. The battery is known good, cleaned battery ect.

I have about a 50/50% chance for the car to start it seems. I'll turn the key, won't hear anything but a single click when I stop turning the key. I can come back sometimes 30min to a few hours later and the car will start fine. Whats also odd is EVERYTIME I jump it, it starts fine.

Any idea whats causing this? My own research I've found the starter solenoid to be a possibility. Thanks.

First of all thank you so much for the donation. It sound's like a starter does the clicking come from the starter when it doesn't start? Also do you have a test light or multimeter? So we can do some trouble shooting?I also emailed you a copy of the starter wire diagram.

A week starter solenoid can sometimes get triggered by the extra voltage of the jump start. If you can access it easily, try tapping n the starter whiile someone tries to start it.
