My camaro has 105,000 miles on it and I just recently noticed that when I just started it up, ran it to the store real quick and back, about 3 miles total. There was white smoke coming from around the engine, when I pulled the dipstick to check the oil white smoke came out of it. It wasn't massive smoke just enough to be concerned, the coolant level was fine and It didn't overheat, though I didn't run it for very long, just to the store and back.

It seemed the greyish/white smoke was coming from inside the engine anywhere I guess. Since it came from the dipstick tube and such.

I cant really diagnose that from your desciption but white smoke means water, black means fuel, and blue means oil. Water might have somehow gotten into the oil and is just steaming out. Sorry I cant tell you more. Good luck!
