I had to replace the motor because my oil lines blew off. I need to replace the motor which I have now done. I have tried to start the truck and with the new motor in it and I am not getting any spark. I have replaced the Crankshaft Sensor, Ignition Coil, Ignition Module, Distributor cap and rotor and still no spark. I have checked to make sure that there is power going to the coil but nothing is coming out. I have checked all the fuses and the are fine. The ECM is fine. I have put it on a computer and everything came back fine and I am still not getting any spark. Please Help! I am so very frustrated.

Thanks

Tina

How about the crank sensor is it plugged in and shimmed properly? I am going to do this one piece at a time since so many engines have been replaced. Also the ic module has both plugs in?

Yes the sensor is plugged in and also has been replaced. I am not sure what you mean by shimmed properly. I did not know it needs to be shimmed. It wasn't shimmed on my old motor. My ic only has one plug.

Thanks,
Tina

To answer the shimming question, that could be the issue if the gap on the crank sensor is not correct. If the sensor is too close to the tone wheel it could make contact with it. If the sensor is too far away, it will not pick up the rise and fall of the tone wheel. Basically the crank sensor picks up the leading and falling edge of the tone wheel and it can determine what position the engine is in based on the cylinder 1 TDC gap in the tone wheel.
