Chevy 350 Cooling System Connector replacement

I own a 1994 Chevy K Blazer w/350, the coolant fitting connector going into the intake has corroded and has now snapped in half. Can I used a standard screw style extractor or will I need a pipe nipple remover? Any help would be appreciated.

This happens alot with those connectors they break all the time when youy try to remove them I would say to use the pipe extractor but I wuld just use whatever works best without damaging the intake
