In the years I have been in the business, I can count the cases of bad gas on one hand. And when it did happen, the problems happened before the car got out of the gas station parking lot.
HAving said that, you would need to drop the tank, drain it, swish some gas in it, drain it again.
When replacing the rotor, the cap should be changed at the same time with the same brand. I have seen compatabiliy problems.
Checking the fuel pressure would be a good idea, and also checking the computer for codes.
