I need to install a new fuel pump on my 200 s10 blazer. How do I drain the remaining fuel from tank safely and easily?

I am in the same boat. A good way to drain the tank is to lower and remove the spare. You can jack up the blazer for more head room if you need to. Next, locate the two inch rubber hose leading into the rear of the tank. Remove the clamp -I had to get mine off from the top by the filler neck. It might put up a fight but a little persuasion wins out. You will want to get a hand pump from the hardware/autoparts store. Get your gas can ready and have at it.

I discovered a way to drain the tank. I disconnected fuel line from fuel filter, attached rubber hose from fuel line coming from tank side to a gas jug . In the engine compartment on the drivers side I removed the fuse relay and bypassed it with a piece of wire. This made the fuel pump come on and pump out most of the fuel, not all but enough to where tank was easy enough to handle. The only side effect is that depending on how much fuel you have in the tank this will run your battery down.
