Hello,
I have a 1997 chevy s-10 blazer that won't start. We have had a couple of really cold nights and at first I thought it may be fuel-line freeze up. I kept trying to start the vehicle and it was turning over fine but not starting. I then noticed that none of the dash lights were on, the radio came on, all interior lights, headlights, power windows worked but no dash lights. As I was about to give up and just get a tow to my home I tried to start it one last time. As I was turning the ignition on all the dash lights popped on and it fired right up, I then cut the vehicle off and that was the last time it started. It still turns over fine but no dash lights, no start. What does this problem sound like and where should I start? I have a brand new battery in it, all fuses are good, all cables running to starter and alternator are in tact and good, but no dash lights and no start. As I said earlier, when the dash lights pop on, she fires right up but they wont come on. Do I have another fuse panel or box in the engine compartment? Please help I am stumped?

Thanks,
Glenn

If battery condition up to snuff, connections clean and tight. I will start with ignition switch. It popped On because you probably hit the sweet spot.

The switch is on the steering column about 1/2 way down towards the floor, if you don't know how to deal with the airbag-don't bring it in. You might get injured
