Is it actually overheating or you think its overheating because that is what the temp gauge says?

So that doesnt necessarily mean your vehicle is overheating, first thing we need to do is verify that the radiator, fan is good, you can do this by hardwiring it directly to the battery. Once we figured that its good, then check or change the engine coolant temp sensor, that is what tells the gauge how hot it is. But before that, I want you to change the thermostat, to make sure everything is flowing to where it needs to be.
