When I parked my van yesterday it was running perfect. Today I tride to start it and it turns over good and sounds like it wants to start but no luck. Ive checked the fuel pump fuse and the fuel relay fuse and there good. There is plenty of fuel in the tank so what am I missing.

Do you have a theft system? I didn't notice one.

Can you check for troublecodes? If not, do some of the basic tests. Have a helper crank it, while you check for spark at the plugs, if you have spark everywhere, then check fuel pressure, you need a gage for that. Those spider fuel systems are known for problems.

As far as testing for spark, you can pull a plug wire loose, stick a known good plug in the boot, ground metal part of plug to metal part of engine. Have helper crank the vehicle while you look for spark at the tip of the plug.

Some of the national brand autostores will loan a fuel pressure gage. You may have to put up a deposit.

When you checked fuses, did you check that the circuit was hot?

Yesterday I e-mailed you about my van not starting. You replyed asking about a theft system. Im not sure if it has one or not but it does make me think of other possible symptoms that may get me to where I need to go. Recently the lights on the mileage gage will go very dim at times and then go light again. It doesnt seem to bother any of the other lights. Also the last time I parked it I accidently hit the panic button on the key chane and the horn started blowing. All I did was hit it again to stop that. Hopefully this information will help solve my problem. Also if there is a theft device, where would I find it and can it be disabled?

Thank you

You see the word security on the lower right of the picture? That's it, if the lite stays on or is flashing, when you try to to start, there is a problem with the theft system. When you turn the key on, no crank, that lite should go out in 4 or five seconds. If the lite stays on, wait before you crank, see if the lite goes out, it may take several minutes.

You could try some of the basic tests, I mentioned.

Thank you. Im not sure what happened but I went out again and turned it on. The light went off after about 4 seconds. I still waited about 10 minutes before trying to start it. It was rough at first but it started. I hope it doesnt happen again. Thanks again for your help. I dont know how this ranking thing works with your web site but you deserve the highest rankings I could give you.

Thanks again

Thanks for the reply, I'm fairly low on the pole, around here.

I'm glad you got it started, but, I'm still suspicious about your problem. Right now, it doesn't sound like the theft system.

You might try some seafoam, they sell it at the autostores, follow the directions. Someboby on here, that I was trying to help with their fuel problem, said they tried seafoam and it helped.
