One day my van starts right up and the next it just cranks. I put in a new battery and a new starter and it was great for 2 days. Now it just cranks but won't start. After 2 days of it just cranking it started right up on the third day. Why is it doing this? And how do I fix it?
Thanks

Welcome to 2CarPros, Need a little more info, is the check engine light on? If so, knowing what code or codes are stored would be helpful. On the days when the engine turns over but will not start, check for spark and fuel delivery. With the dog house, (engine cover), removed, You will need to disconnect a fuel injector electrical connector and install a noid light to check for injector pulse.

It might be a good idea to check the electrical ignition switch that is located on the steering column. Sometimes when the key switch returns to the run position, the rod that controls the switch does not pull back far enough to engage the run side. The switch is usually black and is hooked on with two 5/16 or
8mm screws, its about 3" long, and will have
a flat wire harness with several wires in it plugged into the switch. Good luck, hope ot works mickey-d
