I have a 95 Chevy astro van with the 4.3 vortec engine with spider cpi. It shutters at about 58 mph. I have replace the tps, iac, fuel filter, intake and valve cover gaskets, fuel pressure regulator, and all vac lines. I also checked the fuel pressure with key on it goes to 62 psi. At idle fuel pressure is at about 56 psi and goes up to 58 psi with trottle snap not sure what fuel pressure should be. Also if you give it trottle in park engine shutters at about 1700 rpm. Can you please help

Hi:
have you checked closely for an intake leak? (Somewhat common) Also, has the check engine light ever come on?

Let me know.
Joe

I agree with you. If they are new parts, there shouldn't be a problem with them.

I agree with you. I purchase a lot of my parts there and have had no trouble.

I took the parts off replaced everything still doing the same thing I put the parts on my brothers blazer that came off the van and it ran fine do you think it may be the ignition switch not the lock part but the switch its self i'm at a loss about to replace the engine but it has good compression on all cylinders 180 psi all the way across one shop said weak valve springs I have noticed the shutter only when you back off the gas but I don't think it is that it does not explain the stray voltage i'm so confused it is giving me a headache I think the shop should look at it again and not charge me they said all work is guaranteed and i'm not satisfied :-(

I agree with you. If you have that good of compression, there is nothing wrong with the engine. You would hear a weak valve spring. I looked up fuel pressure and you are right where you should be. Do me a favor. On the throttle body, check to see if there is any play in the shaft that holds the throttle plate. I wonder if you are getting a problem there when the throttle is at a certain position.

Also, you said about going back. These guys told you that you need and engine, and then they blamed it on "junk ignition components." What are they going to say next. It sounds like a guess to me. Be careful.

I GOT IT it was the distubuture (i think I spelled it wrong) but any way thats what it was I did not think of it because I replace all the parts inside another shop told me what it was and did not charge me they never even saw the van BEAT THAT S___! But it was it not the parts inside also added a ground strap going from the bolt that holds it down and ran it to the head for more ground it doubled the gas mileage after I got it right

i just can not believe that he knew what was wrong and never saw it and the shops I paid did not I think they just wanted money! I figured I would let everyone know just in case it happens to someone else I would not want them to go though the same thing. Thanks for your help
