Hard idle, sputtering and light ticking noise

My van started sputtering and idles hard. I haven't drove it in a week now have light ticking noise in engin.

Is the noise only at an idle? Have you checked the oil level? Have you checked for vacuum leaks and the idle air control valve? Has the check engine light come on?

The ticking noise increases when I touch the gas pedal, oil level and vaccum leaks along with idle air control are being done now. But as far as the check engin light it has never came on.

The vacuum leaks or IAC could cause the bad idle, but not the ticking. You may want to check oil pressure using a mechanical gauge to see what it is.
