If the check engine light is on then find out what codes and start there. Sounds like a map sensor, maybe a bad vac leak.

SOUNDS LIKE THE FUEL INJECTION OR WHAT THEY CALL(CMFI) IT IS LOCATED UNDER THE PLENUM OR UPPER INTAKE MANIFOLD. WHAT USUALLY HAPPENS IS THE PLASTIC FUEL LINE THAT GOES TO THE CMFI UNIT CRACKS AND FLOODS THE LOWER INTAKE MANIFOLD AND ALL THE GAS FLOODS ALL CYLINDERS. THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM USUALLY AFTER ABOUT 180,000 MILES. IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN A RECALL!
