1994 Chevy Astro V8 All Wheel Drive Automatic

Well my question is there is something wrong with my van and I dont know what the problem is right now it wont start cause of the battery but when I put in a new battery it wopuldnt turn over so is there anything I can do to check why it wont start?

Hi:
I want you to test something. You will need a helper. Have the helper turn the key to the start position while you check for 12 volts at the small wire running to the starter. If you are getting power, replace the starter.

Let me know what you find.
