So I recently went to multiple shops to find out why my check engine light sometimes turns on and they all said they did not have the right machine. Liars. I looked on YouTube and my car does not even need a machine, it is basically a blinking light right under the carpet on the passenger side. Anyways I got code 43, which said fuel supply system. So I am guessing that is the fuel pump? Here is the problem, I need smog and tags in two days there is no way to have it fixed that quickly. Is there a way to temporarily turn off the check engine light?

It will not matter if you turn the light off or not as it will still show and fail emissions anyhow. it may be a fuel pump problem which our link will show how to test it. auto parts rent gauge. to reset light pull hazard fuse for ten seconds to reset ECU then start engine let cooling fans come on hold engine speed at 3000 for two minutes then check to see if light comes back on. fuel pressure should be 35-37 with vacuum line connected to regulator. However, you may need an adapter to check it.
