While I was driving to work the other day, the traction control light went on. So I stopped safely, turn off the engine and turn it on again. The light disappeared but after a few minutes of driving, the check engine light went on followed by the traction control. Does the shaking of the steering when I slow down causes those lights to come on? The shaking was caused by the bad front rotors and brakes pads. Both front rotors and pads were replaced and no more shaking. My mechanic also reset the lights. Thanks and hoping for your most appreciated reply.

Most likely not however, we need to start with what codes they found when they reset the light. Pads and rotors will not affect the electrical portion of any systems so if he did not give you the codes, maybe call him and see if he wrote them down.

Once we get the codes we can figure out what we may need to do. If they didn't make any repairs other the pads and rotors then the light will most likely come back on.
