1998 Dodge Caravan Trac off

The transmission only goes in low gear. Since this has occured, there is a warning light on when you start the vehicle that says trac off. What does this mean?

It means the traction control system sees a problem and it is has turned itself off.If the trans only works in low, that may be the issue it is seeing.Have th ePCM scanned to see if the trans has a bad solenoid or something to that effect.The code should help point in the direction of a fix
