Couple questions. First, what is the part number of the struts that you put on? Next, what type of noise is it? Can you get a recording of it so that we can hear it? Is it long, short, a chirp, or a thump?

We need to make sure the struts are not installed properly. I included the process just to make sure.

Depending on the noise, it may just be a faulty part but let's start with the recording and we can go from there. Thanks

33gm1108 is part number. It's a loud clunking sound when I come to a stop quickly. I changed both rear struts only passenger side is making noise. I will get a recording after I leave work.

With that info, unless they are not installed correctly (unlikely) or something was left loose, then I suspect the part is just faulty. I would contact the store where you bought it and have them order another one so they can exchange it when it comes in. More then likely the strut is not filled properly and when you are braking hard it is causing it to fully extend or bottom out and that is the clunking noise.

Did you change these out or did you have a shop do it? The only reason is, if you did it then I would suggest going back over all the bolts just to make sure they are tight as a loose bolt will cause a clunk as well.

Okay. I would just run through and make sure there is nothing loose. If there isn't then you got one of them as faulty. The fact that only one of them is making noise could be due to either something loose or it is faulty.

Let us know what you find. Thanks
