This is more of a curiosity question. My car was parked on a hill (car facing up) for about 24 hours. Went to start my car and it wanted to turn but couldn’t. Tried again, this time tapping the throttle and it started. Never has done this before so wasn’t sure if being parked on the hill had anything to do with the fuel. Had 3/4 tank.

Hi,

It is possible that being on a hill could have caused it. I'm sure it wasn't designed to do that. If it happens again, try this:

1. From the off position, turn the key to run (engine off) and count to 5.
2. Turn key off and repeat step 1 three times.
3. On the 4th time, see if the engine starts normally.

If it does, that indicates the fuel pressure dropped off and it took the pump a few tries to get it when it was needed to start.

Let me know if that helps or if you have other questions.

Take care and God Bless.

Joe
