Yesterday I change the facial for the dash and which I had to unplug the hazard lights and plug it into the new one and the key insert it goes with the dash is from older car. I just wanted to replace it because the facial for the dash did not have any cracks in it. When I change the facial is it possible that the grid ignition key goes does it release the locking mechanism to turn the key where it was start I notice the difference between the new one the 2004 and the 2001. Facial for where the rubber goes around the key where you turn the key did not have a rubber spike on the bottom right side that goes into the key ignition to release the key and make it turned it. Is possible that this is what causing it not to turn over and start for me? I have automatic car start it does come on, but when I step on the brake because I cannot turn the key it will not allow me to drive off. It shuts immediately down. Please help, thank you.
