Hello,

Have you tried jump starting the vehicle?
Even though the lights come on, the battery still may not have enough power to start the engine.
Just to clarify, when you turn the key nothing happens, no clicking sound or anything, right?
If you tried to jump start and still does the same thing then the next item might be your ignition switch. Faulty ignition switch will not provide power to the starter to crank the engine.

Please let me know little more details.

Thank you.

Hi, thanks for the response. Yes, I tried to jump start it and it didn't make any kind of difference at all. And yes, when I turn the key there is no noise, click or anything. I check all my fluids and they are all topped off. Also when turning the key there is no noise indicating the fuel pump is running.

Hello, I'm Danny.

It sounds like you might be having an issue with the starter motor solenoid. The solenoid is built into the starter motor so you will have to replace the starter motor unit. The solenoid is what provides the electrical power and engages the starter motor. Here are a few tutorials showing symptoms and replacement of the starter motor unit:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-a-starter-and-solenoid-works

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-replace-a-starter-motor

I've attached picture steps below on how to remove and replace the starter motor assembly on your car. Let us know what you find out or have any further questions on this issue. Most auto parts stores will test your starter motor assembly after removal and bring to them. Hope this helps and thanks again for using 2CarPros.

Many of these GM cars had issues with the ignition switch. Your next step should be to check to see if the ignition switch is getting power.
I have attached the connector view of the ignition switch as well as replacement procedure for your reference.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you.
