Car will turn over but not start

Took it to a shop and was told it is the timing belt. If the engine is a resistant motor it would be thousands of dollars to fix and not worth it, but if not then it would be a easy fix. Do you know of these cars have a resistant motor?

You did not list which engine you have. You did not even bother to list the car model. There are dozens of possibilities. Some Toyota engines are indeed interference engines, but some are not.
