Car will not crank, fuel pump is kicking in and it's getting pressure, we put straight gas in the intake and it tried to crank but didn't. Please can you explain why?

Hi,

If it won't start when you put fuel into the engine, it must not have an ignition spark. That is where we need to start.

Take a look through this link and let me know what you find:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-test-an-ignition-system

Now, did this happen all at once? Is there anything that leads you to believe it could be an internal issue with the engine?

I have a feeling we are going to find no spark and a bad crankshaft position sensor. Take a look through this link and let me know if you experienced any of the symptoms listed prior to the no start:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/symptoms-of-a-bad-crankshaft-sensor

Let me know if there is or isn't spark. Also, let me know if you have a live data scanner. If you do, connect it and see if there is an RPM signal when trying to start it.

Take care and let me know if you have other questions.

It's the fan fuse. Having to run wire into a fuse that stays hot all the time just so my fans will come on. And so whichever fuse that we are running wire straight to is the one that keeps getting hot and blowing. I just don't get why my fans won't work.

Hi,

If you are running a wire to a fuse for a different circuit, chances are that is why it is being overloaded. Is it the engine cooling fans that you are referring to? Can you take a pic of where the wire is that is used as a jumper so I can see what is being done?

Let me know.
