However, if the scanner I just bought isn't enough promptly let me know so I may cancel the order.

Also, is the fuse box in the engine what I need to be testing? I'm not sure what engine room j/b refers to the fuse box, if so, I can definitely do that. It's right there. Are the other junction boxes that are accessible too?

I don't feel the Blue Driver will do what is needed. Please double-check if the one you ordered can communicate with the different modules. I know mine cannot. And yes, the fuse box under the hood.

I'm not sure what you mean by modules, but this list says what it can do. Are you referring to a bidirectional scanner?

Hi,

If it is bi-directional, you should be able to communicate with the different computers/modules. That is something you may want to contact the seller to determine. I know I can scan different modules, but I can't actuate them to do their jobs.

You need to find a scan tool that can manually activate and deactivate systems on command for diagnostic purposes. Although the Innova appears to be a nice tool, it doesn't indicate that function.

If you look back at the diagnostics (pic 3 I think) it indicates to manually test the relays using a scan tool. After that, the scanner isn't used. Instead, you are using a voltmeter or multimeter.

Because a scanner that can activate different systems is generally more expensive, could you possibly find someone who could do that part for you?

Can't because the car has no license plate.

Question, the high beams are illuminating so isn't the relay working? Can't I skip to the next step?

Hi,

I checked the manual and there are no specific directions for removing it. Make sure the battery is disconnected before working on it. If you look at the bottom, there should be 3 or 4 bolts holding it in place. I found a pic online and circled two of them. I have an arrow pointing to where I think the third one is located.

Update. I registered the car and I'm driving it. It has no shut off. It's been a couple of weeks. What I did? I replaced the alternator even though the one that came with the car was okay. I cannot confirm that changing the alternator did anything because the prior driver was a poor historian.

But now that I'm driving it. Maybe 3 weeks after, I get a too rich code and a MAF sensor malfunctioning code. So, I'm going to have it replaced.

Hi,

Thanks for the update. Can you tell me what the new codes are related to the fuel mixture and MAF?

If it is running poorly, disconnect the MAF and see if it gets better. It should go into a predetermined setting so it runs. Also, you may want to try cleaning the MAF first. Here is a link that explains how it's done.
