My car sometimes - seemingly randomly - wont start. I thought it was just when its warm but that is not true. It happened once while the engine was cold and 3 or 4 times when its been at operating temps. The exhaust flexi pipe has completely severed although this non start problem occurred before the ecu noticed the hole as the CEL has only just come on a day or so ago and this problem started just under a month ago.
What has been confirmed:
Spark plugs are fine,
Fuel is fine,
Crank position sensor is fine (originally thought this was the problem)
Its not the immobiliser
Throttle body is clean and works
I am getting the exhaust fixed soon, im not sure if maybe rhe leak caused something else to go wrong as rhe leak has been there since at least august but it only severed maybe mid September.
I have absolutely no idea what could have caused this and everything is have tested has been fine, it has been a massive wild goose chase and I want it to end, I hope someone can help
